February 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said its consolidated net profit fell 21% on the year to 32 million euro ($38.8 million) in 2020.
Consolidated net sales revenue dropped 8% on the year to 209.9 million euro in 2020, Luka Koper said in an annual financial statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) declined 26% on the year to 33.5 million euro in the year under review, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 15% to 61.8 million euro.
Luka Koper handled 19.5 million tonnes of cargo in 2020, down from 22.8 million tonnes a year earlier. The volume of general cargo fell the most compared with 2019 - 26% to 1.3 million tonnes, followed by dry and bulk cargo with an annual drop of 25% to 6.6 million tonnes.
Some 9.3 million tonnes of container cargo was processed in the year under review, down 2% on the year.
The port operator saw a throughput of some 998,201 units of cars in 2020, down 10% compared to 2019, it said.
Luka Koper's shares traded flat at 19.7 euro on the Ljubljana bourse by 1427 CET on Monday.
