November 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said its nine-month consolidated net profit has increased to 39.9 million euro ($47.7 million), up 20% year on year.
In the January-September period, Luka Koper's consolidated net sales revenue amounted to 158.6 million euro, up 7% year-on-year, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
Luka Koper's consolidated EBITDA rose 12% on the year in the review period, to 64.8 million euro.
The company's total maritime throughput increased to 17.7 million tonnes, which is a 9% increase compared to the same period of 2016, it noted.
In January – September 2017, Luka Koper Group allocated 32.5 million euro for investments, mostly toward new equipment, as well as the construction of stacking blocks and a treatment plant at the container terminal.
At the end of September, Luka Koper employed 1,092 people, up 3% on the year.
