November 30 (SeeNews) - Slovenian port operator Luka Koper [LJE:LKPG] said its net profit for the first nine months of 2022 went up to 58.0 million euro ($60.0 million) from 22.9 million euro in the like period of last year.
Consolidated sales revenue went up 40% on the year to 231.3 million euro in January-September, Luka Koper said in a statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Tuesday.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose to 64.8 million euro from 23.1 million euro, while the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up to 87.6 million euro from 45.0 million euro.
Luka Koper handled 17.5 million tonnes of cargo in the first nine months of 2022, up 11% on the year, recording growth in all commodity groups. The liquid cargo terminal handled 3.4 million tonnes of goods, up 43%, while a 31% increase was recorded at the general cargo terminal, where just over 1 million tonnes of goods were serviced. The container terminal achieved a 3% growth to 780,739 TEUs.
