LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 20 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's labour force was estimated at 897,200 in June, up 2.6% year-on-year and 0.1% higher compared with the May number, the country's statistical office said.
Compared to the previous month, the number of persons in paid employment increased by 0.1% (to 804,600) and the number of self-employed persons remained almost the same (about 92,600), the office of statistics said in a statement on Monday.
The number of men in employment increased by 0.1% (to almost 494,800) in June as compared to the previous month. The number of women in employment added also 0.1% (to almost 402,500).
Slovenia has a population of around two million.
