LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 16 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's labour force was estimated at 898,250 in February, up 1.5% year-on-year, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the number of persons in employment was 0.3% higher in February, the statistical office said in a statement.
Compared to the previous month, the number of persons in paid employment rose by 0.3% to 804,013, and the number of self-employed persons edged up 0.1% to 94,237.
The number of men in employment increased by 0.3% to 492,800 in February as compared to the previous month. The number of women in employment also rose by 0.3%, to 405,500.
Slovenia has a population of around two million.
