LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 21 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko said it will meet its 2016 production target of 5.4 TWh of electricity.
The power plant's 2016 energy production results reflect the plant's extremely reliable operations and a successfully completed month-long overhaul, Krsko said in a press release published on its website on Tuesday.
The NPP beat its production target of 5.3 TWh of electricity last year. In 2014, it posted record-high production of more than 6 TWh of electricity.
Krsko was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s when the two countries were still part of the former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
