LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 16 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant Krsko generated 383,146.2 MWh of electricity net in November, 10.9% below plan, the plant operator announced on Friday.
Gross electricity output totalled 404,514.3 MWh last month, Krsko said in a statement on its website.
Last month Krsko reconnected to the grid following regular maintenance which began on October 1.
In June, Krsko said it plans to produce a net 5,400 GWh of electricity in 2016.
In 2015, Krsko beat its annual production target by 0.8% and generated a net 5,370 GWh, but fell 11.4% short of the record-high production achieved in 2014.
Krsko was built in Slovenia near the border with Croatia in the 1970s, when the two countries were still part of the former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
