June 6 (SeeNews) - Romania's anti-corruption agency, DNA, found no irregularities in the activities of the local unit of Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG], the company said.
The agency carried out an investigation of Krka Romania's activities and found that it executed all promotions in accordance with applicable legislation and good practice guidelines, Krka said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Friday.
Based on the findings of the investigation, DNA decided to discontinue the proceedings against Krka Romania, the Slovenian company noted.
The agency started the investigation in January 2020 following media reports of alleged irregularities first published by the Romanian news portal Libertatea.
According to the media reports, Krka employees in Romania have been offering money and travel to Romanian doctors for more than a decade to improve the sales of the company's products in the country.
