March 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.531% from 5.519% after repurchasing 3,859 of its shares for an overall 407,768 euro ($438,749) on the Ljubljana bourse.
Krka bought 877 shares at 105.61 euro each on March 17, 857 shares at 104.70 euro each on March 20, 575 shares at 105.49 euro each on March 21, 950 shares at 107.06 euro each on March 22, as well as 600 shares at 105.08 euro each on March 23, it said in a bourse filing on Friday.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,809,967 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,813,826 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
