LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 4 (SeeNews) – Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said on Friday it raised its own shareholdings to 4.586% from 4.564% after repurchasing 7,293 of its shares for an overall 644,326 euro ($784,000) on the Ljubljana bourse.
Krka bought 1,000 shares at 88.04 euro each on November 27, a further 1,208 shares at 88.26 euro each on November 30, another 1,744 shares at 88.19 euro each on December 1, an additional 1,850 stocks at 88.36 euro on December 2, and a final 1,491 shares at 88.80 each on December 3, it said in a bourse filing.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,496,534 of its own shares, representing 4.564% of all shares issued. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,503,827 own shares, or 4.586% of the share capital.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
Krka's shares traded up 0.67% at 89.60 euro on the Ljubljana bourse by 1307 CET on Friday.
