December 3 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] has said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.069% from 5.052% after repurchasing 5,338 of its shares for an overall 628,179 euro ($709,584) on the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
Krka bought 1,000 shares at 119.70 euro each on November 26, a further 834 shares at 119.63 euro each on November 29, 1,155 shares at 117.0 euro each on November 30, 1,227 shares at 116.43 euro each on December 1, as well as 1,122 shares at 116.50 euro on December 2, it said in a bourse filing.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,656,881 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,662,219 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
