November 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] has said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.052% from 5.038% after repurchasing 4,587 of its shares for an overall 538,379 euro ($606,422) on the Ljubljana bourse on Friday.
Krka bought 510 shares at 115.05 euro each on November 18, a further 915 shares at 115.35 euro each on November 19, 940 shares at 116.28 euro each on November 22, 286 shares at 117.55 euro each on November 23, as well as 921 shares at 119.12 euro on November 24 and 1,015 shares at 119.73 euro apiece on November 25, it said in a bourse filing.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,652,294 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,656,881 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
