September 20 (SeeNews) - Slovenian industrial group Kolektor has laid the cornerstone for its future 3.0 million marka ($1.8 million/1.5 million euro) production plant in Bosnia's Prijedor on Wednesday, the municipal government said.
Prior to the ceremonial event Kolektor and the local government signed a deal for the construction of the plant, the government said in a statement.
Kolektor's new Prijedor location, which will span over 2,750 sq m, will initially employ 120 people. The Slovenian company plans to build additional facilities in Prijedor and employ a workforce of 500 at a later stage.
Kolektor's Bosnian unit, Kolektor CCL, designs, develops and manufactures commutators. It launched in 2005 in Laktasi municipality and later opened two more plants, in Banja Luka in 2015 and Srbac in 2017.
