August 20 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Slovenia in July decreased by 9% month-on-month to 518, after falling at the same rate a month earlier, the office of national statistics said on Monday.
A total of 212 permits were issued for residential buildings in July, down 9% on the month, while 306 permits were issued for non-residential buildings, a drop of 10% compared to June, the statistical office said in a statement.
The total floor area of all planned buildings was a little more than 138,000 sq m, an increase of 2% over June plan.
In July, 97% of all building permits were issued for new construction works and 3% for conversions.
The construction of 248 dwellings was planned, which is 4% fewer than in June.
