February 28 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 2% month-on-month to 1,214 GWh in January, the statistical office said.
In annual terms, the country's power output was down 1%, the office of statistics said in a statement on Monday, citing provisional data.

The January output of the country's hydropower plants went down 8% monthly and grew 26% yearly to 351 GWh.
The output of the thermal power plants in Slovenia totalled 273 GWh in January, down 36% on the year and up 11% month-on-month, while Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, produced 519 GWh of electricity last month, at the same level as in the previous month and up 2% on the year.
In January, Slovenia imported 964 GWh of electricity and exported 866 GWh. Imports grew 5% compared to the previous month, while exports increased 3%.
On an annual comparison basis, imports went up 18% and exports grew 27%.
Nuclear energy had the largest share of 42.8% in Slovenia's total power production in January, followed by hydro energy with 28.9%, thermal with 22.5%, and solar and wind power with 5.9%.
