LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 17 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's budget balance showed a deficit of 63.64 million euro ($74.86 million) in the first nine months of 2017, compared to a shortfall of 521.1 million euro in the prior-year period, finance ministry data showed on Tuesday.
Total budget revenues increased 7.2% year-on-year to 6.54 billion euro in the nine months through September, while expenditures declined slightly by 0.3% to 6.61 billion euro, according to figures posted on the website of the finance ministry.
In September alone, Slovenia posted a budget surplus of 44.66 million euro, compared to a surplus of 6.91 million euro a year earlier.
Revenues collected in the month of September totalled 689.41 million euro, up 7.7% year-on-year, while expenditures rose to 644.75 million euro, from 633.06 million euro.
