LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 10 (SeeNews) – Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] plans to grow its sales revenue to 170.7 million euro ($186.8 million) this year.
"The Group is planning EBITDA in the amount of 13.0 million euro, which will be facilitated in part by planned investments in the amount of 6.9 million euro," the company said in a statement, after its supervisory board adopted the 2020 plan.
In the current year, Intereuropa group's sales activities will be focused again on strengthening its market position as the leading provider of comprehensive logistics services in Slovenia and Southeast Europe, the company said.
In addition to investing in the logistics infrastructure and information technology, in 2020 the group will also invest in the competences of its employees and the continued development of high-quality logistics services, Intereuropa said.
“Together with the Posta Slovenije group [majority shareholder of Intereuropa], the Intereuropa group will continue activities in 2020 for the implementation of integration procedures following the completion of the takeover, as well as other projects aimed at achieving synergistic effects,” the logistics company noted.
According to the latest data available from the company, Intereuropa's consolidated net profit rose 2% year-on-year to 4.2 million euro ($4.7 million) in the nine months through September 2019, whereas EBITDA fell 5% to 10.3 million euro. The group's sales revenue edged up to 120.2 million euro during the first nine months of 2019 from 119.2 million euro a year earlier but was 6% below plan.
In November, Posta Slovenije completed the purchase of 72.13% of all shares issued by Intereuropa, the logistics group said back then.
