LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 9 (SeeNews) – Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] said on Thursday it turned to a consolidated net loss of 1.6 million euro ($1.7 million) in 2016 from a net profit of 288,000 euro a year earlier.
Consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 24% to 13.3 million euro last year, while operating profit surged 58% to 6.7 million euro, the company said in an unaudited interim report filed with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The Intereuropa Group generated 135.6 million euro in sales revenue in the period January– December, an increase of 1% on the same period in 2015. The contribution of domestic sales was 88.7 million euro, down 1% on the year.
Intereuropa's second biggest market was Croatia with revenue of 20.6 million euro, up 1% compared to 2015. Bosnia and Herzegovina followed with 6.6 million euro, an increase of 7%.
The Intereuropa Group invested 3.7 million euro in property, plant and equipment in 2016. Of that amount, 901,000 euro was invested in real estate and 2.8 million euro in equipment and intangible assets.
