May 24 (SeeNews) - Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] said on Wednesday its consolidated net profit rose 27% on the year to 900,000 euro ($1 million) in the first quarter of 2017.
Consolidated sales revenue increased 5% year-on-year to 35.4 million euro in the three months through March, the company said in a statement filed with the Ljubljana bourse.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) came in at 3.4 million euro, beating target by 9%, while earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) reached 1.7 million euro, 19% above plan.
The group recorded the highest growth in its intercontinental transport business, which saw sales rise by 16% over the first quarter of 2016.
At the end of March, Intereuropa's net financial debt totalled 73.1 million euro.
Koper-based Intereuropa offers services in three core business areas - land transport, intercontinental transport and logistic solutions.
