August 9 (SeeNews) - Erste Group expects Slovenia's industrial production to keep growing by the end of 2019, backed by domestic demand, the Austrian banking group said on Friday.
"We expect similar pattern also in 2H19, with industrial production keeping positive developments, albeit at decelerated growth pace," Erste said in an instant comment following the issue of Slovenia's industrial output data for June.
Although uncertainties regarding external demand developments continue weighing on stronger prospects, the favourable domestic demand is supporting Slovenia's overall solid industrial production, Erste noted.
Slovenia's industrial production growth slowed down to 1.1% year-on-year in terms of value in June, from 3.1% in May, the country's statistical office said on Friday, citing provisional data.
On a monthly comparison basis, the value of industrial production went down 1.6% in June, after decreasing by 0.8% in May, the statistical office said.
