LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), April 6 (SeeNews) – Slovenian aluminium products manufacturer Impol said on Friday it exported products worth 629 million euro ($770.2 million) in 2017, up 28% year-on-year.
Exports made up 94% of the company's revenue last year, Impol said in a filing to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Exports to European Union member states totalled 559 million euro, while exports to other European countries amounted to 25 million euro. Exports to other continents totalled 44 million euro, Impol said.
The company, which exports its products to 50 countries, generated 37% of its revenue on its most important market, Germany.
In 2018, Impol plans to increase its exports to 685 million euro, up 9% over 2017.
As at December 31, 2017, the Impol Group had 2284 employees. In 2018, it plans to add an additional 70 people.
The core activity of Slovenska Bistrica-based Impol is the processing of aluminium into rolled, extruded, drawn and forged products, as well as other types of products.
