December 14 (SeeNews) - Slovenian casino operator Hit said on Friday it has opened a 47 million euro ($68.7 million) casino and entertainment centre in Sentilj, near the country's border with Austria.
The centre, called Mond, features a casino with 400 slot machines, 20 gambling tables and restaurants, Hit said in a statement. It will employ 235.
Hit expects that the new centre will attract more than 300,000 visitors annually.
Hit has reported a 5.4% annual rise in half-year parent gross revenue to 123 million euro.
The Hit group comprises the parent company and five subsidiaries in Slovenia and abroad. Hit operates eight more casinos in the country of two million people. It also runs one casino and entertainment centre in Bosnia and one casino in Montenegro.
The company’s casino and entertainment centres were visited by 801,200 guests in the first half of 2007, up 6.0% year-on-year.
