LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), October 5 (SeeNews) – Slovenian industrial conglomerate Hidria and US-based Orchid International have entered into a global alliance to produce key components for high-performance electric motors, including complete motor cores, rotors and stators, Hidria said.
The alliance will strengthen Hidria’s position in the North American market and Orchid's position globally, the Slovenian company said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Hidria and Orchid expect significant increase in sales of their high-quality solutions and products in the area of electric motors, which will represent an important contribution to the green mobility of the future," Hidria noted.
The company added that electro mobility is on the rise, with experts from the automotive industry predicting that in 2025 up to 25% of all cars manufactured globally will be either hybrid or electric vehicles.
Orchid International is a leader in the North American market producing electrical steel laminations, electric motor and generator cores, and power transformer devices for a multitude of industries including: automotive, aviation, military, medical, appliance, consumer products, heavy equipment, and numerous industrial markets.
