LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's gross foreign debt increased 0.8% month-on-month to 43.53 billion euro ($49.5 billion) at the end of June, preliminary central bank data showed on Monday.
Net external debt rose to 8.53 billion euro at the end of June from 8.47 billion euro at the end of May, the data indicated.
General government gross foreign debt edged up 0.2% on the month, reaching 21.7 billion euro at the end of June. The debt of the central bank dropped to 2.9 billion euro at the end of June from 3.1 billion euro a month earlier.
The debt of deposit-taking corporations, excluding the central bank, rose 3.1% month-on-month to 3.66 billion euro at the end of June, the debt of the non-financial sector added 2.1% to 11.4 billion euro, while inter-company lending increased to 3.84 billion euro from 3.76 billion euro.
