LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 13 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's gross foreign debt decreased 1.2% month-on-month to 43 billion euro ($50 billion) at the end of July, preliminary central bank data showed on Thursday.
Net external debt fell to 7.97 billion euro at the end of July from 8.52 billion euro at the end of June, the data indicated.
General government gross foreign debt edged down 0.6% on the month, reaching 21.5 billion euro at the end of July. The debt of the central bank rose to 3.0 billion euro at the end of July from 2.9 billion euro a month earlier.
The debt of deposit-taking corporations, excluding the central bank, fell 3.0% month-on-month to 3.6 billion euro at the end of July, the debt of the non-financial sector dropped 3.1% to 11.1 billion euro, and inter-company lending edged down 0.03% to 3.8 billion euro.
