LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 30 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's general government budget recorded a surplus of 193 million euro ($215.6 million) equivalent to 1.6% of the country's GDP in the third quarter of 2019, as compared to a surplus of 59 million euro in the same period of last year, the statistical office said on Monday.
In the July-September period, Slovenia's budget revenue rose by 7.4% on the year to 5.43 billion euro, while expenditure added 4.8% to 5.24 billion euro, the statistical office said in a statement.
Compared to the end of the second quarter of 2019, consolidated general government gross debt increased by 586 million euro and at the end of the end of the third quarter of 2019 amounted to 32,390 million euro or 68.1% of GDP. Debt in short term loans increased the most.
