March 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy group GEN-I is considering the possibility of issuing additional 12-month commercial papers worth 50 million euro ($54 million), it said.
GEN-I aims to increase its liquidity reserves through the placement, which will be placed as part of an issue carried out in May 2022, GEN-I said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Monday.
The commercial papers will be issued within the framework of the public offering procedure, for which it is not necessary to apply the rules on the publication of the prospectus, GEN-I said.
The issue arranger will be local lender Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM).
In May 2022, GEN-I sold 12-month commercial papers worth a nominal 60 million euro. The company received binding offers from interested investors in a record-high amount of some 70 million euro, which led to the increase of the originally set borrowing amount of 50 million euro by 10 million euro. Additional 12-month commercial papers worth 15.7 million euro were issued in October.
