March 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenian energy group GEN-I has recorded a net profit of 29 million euro ($31.6 million) for 2022, according to unaudited data, the company said.
"According to unaudited data, the net profit amounted to 29 million euro, which is, in the given market conditions, lower than the record-high result of the previous year, but above the expectations from the business plan," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
In 2021, GEN-I, a 50/50 joint venture company of Slovenian state-owned energy group GEN Energija and its affiliate investment firm GEN-EL Nalozbe, recorded a consolidated net profit of 70 million euro, up from 15.4 million euro in the previous year.
The revenue of GEN-I in 2022 amounted to record-high 4 billion euro, the company said.
Earlier this week, the energy group said it is considering the possibility of issuing additional 12-month commercial papers worth 50 million euro. GEN-I aims to increase its liquidity reserves through the placement, which will be placed as part of an issue carried out in May 2022, GEN-I said.
