LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), August 26 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's economic sentiment index fell by 0.8 percentage points month-on-month to 6.0 p.p. in August, after adding 1.4 p.p. in July, the country's statistical office said on Monday, citing final data.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator was 4.6 p.p. lower in August, the statistical office said in a statement.
The confidence indicator in the services sector decreased by 0.6 p.p. as compared to July. Compared to August last year, the indicator was 1.6 p.p. lower.
In August 2019, the manufacturing confidence indicator decreased by 0.1 p.p. compared to the previous month and by 2.5 p.p. over August 2018.
The retail trade confidence indicator increased by 0.3 p.p. in August on a monthly comparison basis. Compared to August last year, it increased by 0.6 p.p.
The confidence indicator in construction remained stable on the monthly comparison basis, while it was 0.7 p.p. lower than in August last year.
