May 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index went down in May by 0.2 of a percentage point (pp) monthly, after declining 1.0 pp month-on-month in April, the country's statistical office said.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator decreased by 5.5 pps in May, after declining by 6.9 pps in April, the statistical office said in a statement last week.
Confidence indicators in retail trade, down 0.2 pp, and in manufacturing and construction, down 0.1 pp each, had a negative impact on the monthly level. The change was positively influenced by indicators among consumers and in services, up 0.2 pp and 0.1 pp, respectively.
The annual decrease was influenced by the lower values in manufacturing, down 4.4 pps, in retail trade, down 0.7 pp, construction, down 0.6 pp, and services, down 0.2 pp. Only the confidence indicator among consumers, up 0.3 pp, had a slightly positive impact.
