January 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index went down in January by 1.5 percentage points (pps) monthly, after rising 2.4 pp month-on-month in December, the country's statistical office said.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator decreased by 6.3 pps in January, after declining by 3.8 pps in December, the statistical office said in a statement.
The sentiment indicator at the monthly level was negatively influenced by the confidence indicator among consumers, down 0.8 pp, a 0.5 pp decline in services, as well as a 0.2 pp reduction in retail trade and in construction each. On the other hand, the confidence indicator in manufacturing had a positive impact of 0.1 pp.
The annual decline was influenced by confidence indicators in manufacturing, down 4.9 pps, among consumers, down 2.2 pps, and in construction, down 0.4 pp. The change in value was positively influenced by confidence indicators in services, which went up 0.9 pp and in retail trade, up 0.2 pp.
