January 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased in January by a monthly 0.6 of a percentage point (pps) to 5.7 pps, after rising by 1.9 pps month-on-month in December, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator rose by 12.2 pps in January, after growing by 14.2 pps in December, the statistical office said in a statement.
The monthly increase was influenced by confidence indicators in services, up 0.5 pp and retail trade, up 0.1 pp, while confidence indicators in manufacturing, construction and among consumers had no impact.
All five components of the sentiment indicator had a positive influence at the annual level, with the confidence indicator in services rising by 6.3 pps, in retail trade by 1.9 pps, in manufacturing by 1.7 pps, in construction by 1.2 pps and among consumers by 1.0 pp.
The sentiment indicator is the weighted average of the confidence indicators in manufacturing, retail trade, construction, services and the consumer confidence indicator.
