December 24 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased in December by a monthly 1.9 percentage points (pps) to 2.2 pps, after rising by 0.8 of a percentage point month-on-month in November, the country's statistical office said.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator rose by 14.2 pps in December, after growing by 15.9 pps in November, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
The monthly increase was influenced by the confidence indicator in manufacturing (up 1.6 pps), among consumers (up 0.6 pps), retail trade (up 0.5 pp) and in construction (up 0.3 pp). The impact of the services confidence indicator was negative (down 1.1 pps).
All five components of the sentiment indicator had a positive influence at the annual level, with the confidence indicator in services rising by 7.0 pps, in manufacturing by 3.5 pps, in construction by 1.3 pps, and in retail trade and among consumers by 1.1 pps each.
The sentiment indicator is the weighted average of the confidence indicators in manufacturing, retail trade, construction, services and the consumer confidence indicator.
