LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 22 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's economic sentiment index fell 3.1 percentage points (p.p.) month-on-month to 9.2 p.p. in February, after increasing 1.4 p.p. in January, the country's statistical office said on Friday, citing seasonally adjusted data.
In February, the overall economic sentiment indicator was 5.3 p.p. lower on the year, the statistical office said in a statement.
The confidence indicator in the services sector fell 0.2 p.p. relative to January. Compared to January last year, the indicator was 0.2 p.p. higher.
In February 2019, the manufacturing confidence indicator was 2.0 p.p. lower compared to the previous month and decreased by 4.1 p.p. over February 2018.
The retail trade confidence indicator was 0.5 p.p. lower in February on a monthly comparison basis. Compared to February last year, it decreased by 0.1 p.p.
The confidence indicator in construction had had no impact on the monthly change, while it was 0.2 p.p. lower than in February last year.
