January 25 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased by 1.5 percentage points month-on month in January, after rising by 0.5 percentage point in December, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Wednesday.
On an annual comparison basis, the indicator was 6.2 percentage points higher in January, the data indicated. In January, the index was 12.4 percentage points above the long-term average and reached the highest value since April 2008, when it stood at 12.6 p.p.
The services confidence indicator was 1 percentage point higher compared to December 2016. Compared to January last year, it increased by 6 percentage points and was 13 percentage points above the long-term average.
In January, the manufacturing confidence indicator was 2 percentage points above the December 2016 value. On the year, it increased by 5 percentage points and was 10 percentage points above the long-term average.
The retail trade confidence indicator was 6 percentage points lower month-on-month in January. Compared to January last year, the index decreased by 14 percentage points and was 2 percentage points above the long-term average.
In January, the construction confidence indicator was 3 percentage points lower than in December. Compared to January 2015, it increased by 14 percentage points and was 17 percentage points above the long-term average.
