LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 27 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's economic sentiment index rose by 1.1 percentage points (pps) month-on-month to 4.1 pps in January, after increasing by 0.8 pps in December, the country's statistical office said on Monday, citing final data.
On an annual comparison basis, the overall economic sentiment indicator was 8.0 pps lower in January, the statistical office said in a statement.
In January 2020, the manufacturing confidence indicator increased by 0.6 pps on the month and decreased by 3.3 pps compared to January 2019.
The confidence indicator in the services sector increased by 0.4 pps as compared to December. Compared to January 2019, the indicator was 1.7 pps lower.
The retail trade confidence indicator fell by 0.3 pps on a monthly comparison basis. Compared to January last year, the indicator was 0.7 pps lower.
The confidence indicator in construction rose by 0.1% as compared to December, and was 0.4 pps lower than it was in January last year.
