March 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased by 1.9 percentage points month-on-month in March to 12.5, reaching its highest level since April 2008, after edging up by 0.4 of a percentage point in February, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Monday.
On an annual comparison basis, the indicator was 9.0 percentage points higher in March, the data indicated. In March, the index was 14.9 percentage points above the long-term average.
In March, the services confidence indicator was 3 percentage points higher than in February. Compared to March last year, the indicator increased by 7 percentage points and was 17 percentage points above the long-term average.
The manufacturing confidence indicator was 1 percentage point higher than in February. On the year, it increased by 8 percentage points and was 13 percentage points above the long-term average.
The retail trade confidence indicator was 10 percentage points higher than in February. Compared to March last year, the index rose by 7 percentage points and was 17 percentage points above the long-term average.
In March, the confidence indicator in the construction sector was 2 percentage points higher than in February. Compared to March 2016 and the long-term average, it increased by 24 percentage points.
