LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), May 24 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's economic sentiment index increased by 1 percentage points month-on-month to 7.8 p.p. in May, after decreasing by 2.1 p.p. in April, the country's statistical office said on Friday, citing seasonally adjusted data.
In May, the overall economic sentiment indicator was 4.5 p.p. lower on the year, the statistical office said in a statement.
The confidence indicator in the services sector was 0.8 p.p. lower relative to April. Compared to May last year, the indicator was 1.8 p.p. lower.
In May 2019, the manufacturing confidence indicator increased by 1.0 p.p. compared to the previous month and decreased by 2.1 p.p. over May 2018.
The retail trade confidence indicator rose by 0.6 p.p. in May on a monthly comparison basis. Compared to May last year, it increased by 1.2 p.p.
The confidence indicator in construction remained stable on the monthly change, while it was 0.6 p.p. lower than in May last year.
