February 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's economic sentiment index dropped by 1.6 percentage points month-on-month to 14.7 in February, after edging up 0.3 p.p. in January, seasonally adjusted data from the country's statistical office showed on Thursday.
The indicator was 4.0 percentage points higher than in February 2017 and 16.0 p.p. above the long-term average, the data indicated.
In February 2018, the value of the services confidence indicator was the same as in January 2018. Compared to February 2017 it increased by 1 p.p. and was 15 p.p. above the long-term average.
The manufacturing confidence indicator was 1 percentage point lower than a month earlier. On the year, it increased by 2 p.p. and was 13 p.p. above the long-term average.
In February, the retail trade confidence indicator was 12 p.p. lower on the month. Compared to February 2017, it increased by 1 p.p. and was 8 p.p. above the long-term average.
The construction confidence indicator was 1 p.p. higher than in January 2018 and 15 p.p. higher than in February 2017. It was also 39 p.p. above the long-term average.
