June 5 (SeeNews) - Slovenian lender Dezelna Banka Slovenije (DBS) has recorded a pre-tax profit of 8.3 million euro ($8.9 million) in 2022, up from 5.95 million euro booked in the previous year, it said.
Net interest income grew to 18.2 million euro from 15.4 million euro in 2021, whereas non-interest income went down to 11.1 million euro from 11.9 million euro, DBS said in an annual financial report posted on its website last week.
"In the second half of the year, the operations of the DBS Group and all our other activities have regained the volume they had before the epidemic. However, we faced challenges in other areas, namely due to inflation, which is at a multi-year peak, global economic conditions worsened, and as a result, financial conditions tightened," the lender said.
In 2022, DBS optimised certain business hours and financial services it offers in 76 branches throughout Slovenia, as it believes its physical presence is important, the bank added.
