March 17 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's Daihen Varstroj, a subsidiary of Japanese welding equipment maker Daihen Corporation, has completed a 2.5 million euro ($2.65 million) project for the expansion of its factory in Lendava, Daihen Varstroj CEO Matjaz Vnuk said.
The project allows Daihen Varstroj to produce large-size robotic cells and increase the footprint of the Lendava factory by 20% to 11,000 sq m, Vnuk said in a video file posted on the YouTube channel of private broadcaster Idea Televizija on Thursday.
"The changes will increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the company and improve the quality of its products and services," Vnuk said.
The European unit of Daihen Corporation entered Daihen Varstroj's ownership in 2006 and completed the integration of the Slovenian company in 2014. Daihen Varstroj manufactures welding machines, robotic welding devices and provides technological solutions for thermal metal cutting.
