November 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator remained unchanged at the monthly level in November, after improving by 1 percentage point in October, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.
The indicator was influenced by more optimistic expectations about the country’s economy and savings, each up by 2 p.p. The other two indicators worsened: expectations about households’ finances by 2 p.p. and expectations about the number of unemployed by 1 p.p.
Among other indicators the only improvement was recorded in the indicator of household’s current financial situation (by 2 p.p.), while the values of four indicators remained the same. Other indicators deteriorated, most substantially the suitability for saving and major purchases at present time (by 5 p.p. and 3 p.p., respectively).
Compared to the same period last year, consumer confidence was up 4 points this month, after growing 1 point in October.
The value at the annual level was higher due to more optimistic expectations of consumers about unemployment (by 8 p.p.), the country’s economy (by 6 p.p.) and households’ finances (by 2 p.p.), while expectations about the suitability for saving worsened by 1 p.p.
November's consumer confidence index was the same as last year’s average.
