LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 22 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator improved by a monthly 1 percentage point (pp) in January, after rising by 4 pps in the preceding month, the country's statistical office said.
In annual terms, consumer confidence was down by 18 pps in January, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
All four components of the consumer sentiment indicator deteriorated at the annual level, with the expectations about the level of unemployment falling by 29 pps, current households’ finances by 16 pps, expectations for major purchases also by 16 pps, and expectations about households’ finances by 11 pps.
At the same time, consumers’ expectations about households’ finances and the country’s economy increased by 4 pps and 2 pps on the month, respectively.
