LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), December 20 (SeeNews) – Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator rose by 1 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis in December, after decreasing by 2 p.p. in November, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The consumer confidence indicator rose in December due to more optimistic expectations about the country’s economy (up by 3 p.p.) and improved expectations about the level of unemployment (by 1 p.p. each), the statistical office said in a monthly consumer sentiment survey.
Savings expectations decreased by 2 p.p., while the households' financial expectations remained the same as last month.
On an annual comparison basis, the value of the consumer confidence indicator was 10 p.p. lower in December.
In annual terms, the decrease was influenced mostly by the expectations about the number of unemployed and about the country’s economy which worsened by 19 p.p. and 15 p.p., respectively.
Expectations about the households’ finances decreased by 4 p.p. and savings expectations by 1 p.p.
