February 20 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator decreased by 6 percentage points (pps) on a monthly basis in February, after rising by the same margin in January, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
All four component indicators worsened compared to the previous month, the statistical office said. Expectations concerning the unemployment rate, the country’s economy, savings and households’ finances declined by 9 pps, 6 pps, 4 pps, and 2 pps, respectively.
The majority of other indicators also deteriorated on a monthly basis, with only price levels attracting positive feedback and expanding by 2 pps.
The value of the consumer confidence indicator improved by 11 pps compared to February 2016, and was 5 pps above last year’s average. In January, it gained 13 pps on the year.
All four component indicators had a positive impact on the annual change of the confidence indicator. Expectations about unemployment and the country’s economy improved by 17 pps, whereas expectations about the households’ finances and savings were up by 6 pps and 3 pps, respectively.
