July 22 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator fell by 6 percentage points (pps) in July, after decreasing by 2 pps in the preceding month, the country's statistical office said.
In annual terms, consumer confidence declined by 22 pps in July, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website.
The monthly decrease in the confidence indicator resulted mainly from more pessimistic consumer expectations about the country’s economy (by 12 pps). The other components of the confidence indicator also deteriorated, with expectations about households’ finances falling by 5 pps, opinion on current households’ finances declining by 4 pps, and expectations about major purchases decreasing 3 pps.
All four components of the confidence indicator deteriorated, with expectations about households’ finances declining by 29 pps, about the country’s economy falling 26 pps, opinion on current households’ finances decreasing 16 pps, and expectations about major purchases going down 14 pps.
