July 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator dropped by 1 percentage point month-on-month in July, after rising 3 by percentage points in June, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The value of the confidence indicator decreased due to slightly more pessimistic expectations of consumers about the country’s economy (by 2 p.p.), households’ finances (by 1 p.p.) and unemployment (by 1 p.p.), while consumers’ expectations about savings remained the same as last month.
The value of the consumer confidence indicator improved by 9 p.p. compared to July 2016, and was 10 p.p. above last year’s average, the statistical office said in a monthly survey.
All four component indicators had a positive impact on the annual change in the consumer confidence indicator. Expectations about the country’s economy improved by 14 p.p., about the unemployment level by 13 p.p., about savings by 7 p.p. and about households’ finances by 3 p.p.
