May 11 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said on Wednesday its net profit more than doubled to 15.6 million euro ($16.5 million) in the first quarter of 2022 from 7.4 million euro in the like period of last year.
The company's net sales revenue rose 31.8% on the year to 66.3 million euro in January-March and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew to 22.4 million euro from 12.5 million euro, Cinkarna Celje said in its unaudited quarterly financial report.
Investments decreased by 19.6% to 1.8 million euro, it added.
Cinkarna Celje was established in 1873. Its core business is production and marketing of titanium dioxide pigment.
Its shares closed at 278 euro, down 2.1%, on Wednesday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
