LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 31 (SeeNews) – Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said it is postponing a decision on the distribution of its 2019 net profit because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Accordingly, the company is also postponing its general shareholders' meeting which was called for May 5, 2020, Cinkarna Celje said in a brief statement with the Ljubljana bourse on Monday.
The new dates for adopting a decision on this year's dividend payment and for holding the general assembly meeting will be determined at a later stage, the statement read.
Earlier this month, the company reported that its net profit fell 29% to 21.7 million euro ($23.8 million) in 2019. However, the result was higher than the 11.1 million euro net profit forecast for last year.
Cinkarna Celje was established in 1873. Its core business is production and marketing of titanium dioxide pigment.
Cinkarna Celje's shares traded at 135 euro by 13:22 CET on Tuesday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, after closing 0.38% lower at 129.5 euro on Monday.
