October 9 (SeeNews) - Slovenian chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] said it has repurchased 1,620 of its own shares for a total of 291,900 euro ($320,600).
Thus, Cinkarna Celje has increased its holding of own shares to 1.186% of the issued share capital from 0.9855%, the company said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange earlier this week.
The 1,620 shares were acquired in several transactions last week. Cinkarna Celje bought back 405 own shares at 179.41 euro each on September 30, 500 shares at 181 euro on October 1, 250 shares again at 181 euro each on October 2, and 465 shares at 179.57 apiece on October 4.
As of October 7, following the transactions, Cinkarna Celje held 9,583 own shares.
The decision for the share buyback was approved by the general shareholders' meeting of Cinkarna Celje on June 4.
The company's shares closed 0.55% lower at 180 euro on Tuesday. There was no trading in the shares by 1020 CET on Wednesday.
